It happened around 7:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in Sullivan County eastbound in Mamakating between the bus and a pickup truck, state police said. The injuries were reported as being minor. Route 17 was closed eastbound between Exits 112 and 113 in Mamakating for about two hours. The lanes reopened just before 10 a.m.

Truck Fire Causes I-84 Lane Closure A stretch of I-84 has reopened after tractor-trailer fire. The fire started around 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31 eastbound in Montgomery, said the New York State Police. There were no injuries but the highway was closed for a short time while the fire was extinguished, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Nevel said as of 12:30 p.m., only the one exit ramp lane at Exit 28 is still blocked.  An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
