Hudson Valley Man Charged With Murder
A Hudson Valley man is behind bars for allegedly killing another person. Ulster County resident Damon Foy, age 50, of Kerhonkson, was charged with felony murder on Wednesday, April 3, and arraigned in the town of Esopus Justice Court. According to Capt. Joseph Sciutto of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, Foy, was arrested following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police, and the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office. 'Outstanding End' After Missing 14-Year-Old From Region Located
This story has been updated. A 14-year-old boy from the region who was reported missing has been located. Rensselaer County resident Matthew Ramos, of North Greenbush, left his home at the Eagle Rock Apartments sometime overnight Thursday, April 4, according to police. Detectives had urged residents in the Defreestville, Highland Park, and Mansions area to check their outside surveillance video to aid in the search. A Long Island man has pleaded guilty in the Hudson Valley to attempted dissemination of indecent materials to minors. A 53-year-old Hudson Valley man faces child pornography charges following a search of his residence, police announced. Putnam County resident John Towers of Mahopac was arrested on Friday, March 29 after he was caught in possession of images depicting the sexual abuse of children, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, April 2. ID Released For Woman Who Died After Jumping From Bridge In Dutchess County
A woman who jumped to her death from a Hudson Valley bridge has been identified by police. Dutchess County resident Dawn Stackhouse, age 52, of Beekman, jumped from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge in Rhinebeck, on Monday, April 1. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, an investigation determined Stackhouse jumped from the bridge around 9:50 a.m. Good Samaritans fishing near the bridge removed her from the water and attempted life-saving measures, Hicks said. The New York State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing Hudson Valley man who hasn't been since Sunday, March 24. Nicolas Faust, age 43, formerly of Ulster County in Marlborough, and Westchester County in Peekskill, was reported missing by his family, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. Two Hudson Valley men were found stabbed to death after police received a call for help. Hudson Valley 4-Alarm Fire Displaces 33, Injures 3
A 4-alarm fire that started at a Hudson Valley home and spread, displaced 33 people, including three infants, and injured three. The fire occurred in Orange County around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, March 31 on Lutheran Street in the city of Newburgh.
