West Point Cadet From Wappinger Recognized By Sen. Serino In Albany

WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- State Senator Sue Serino (R-Hyde Park) honored U.S. Military Academy Cadet Brett S. VanBuren from the class of 2019 during "West Point Day" in Albany.

VanBuren is from the Town of Wappinger hamlet of Chelsea and a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Serino had the opportunity to recognize VanBuren for his service and commitment to our nation on the floor of the State Senate during a recent legislative session.

“West Point has turned out some of our nation’s greatest leaders and it is so inspiring to see so many young people stepping up to the plate,” Serino said. “With a passion for legal studies, Brett has a very bright future ahead of him. We wish these brave young cadets the very best and we thank them for their selfless sacrifice and dedication to our nation.”
