Daly will step down April 15 following concerns about the private Catholic college's direction and conflict between faculty and leadership, Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

The school focused on increasing enrollment and retention rates, as well as program expansion during Daly's time as president, Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

Rates of degree-seeking enrollment and retention increased from 2014 to 2015, but numbers still reflected a downward trend from 2011, said Poughkeepsie Journal.
