POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Poughkeepsie City School District will begin an anti-violence campaign on Monday, May 16, that will last through the week, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.

This is the eighth annual year for the Society at War Against Illegal Guns and Violence (SWAG) with activities throughout the week culminating with a march through the city on Friday.

The City of Poughkeepsie collaborates with two student groups, Brother to Brother and Sister To Sister, on the campaign, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.
