Al Roker Helps In Search For New SUNY Chancellor

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Al Roker has been tapped by the State University of New York system to help in the upcoming search for a new chancellor to replace Nancy Zimpher, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

The SUNY Oswego alumnus is one of 22 people who will make up the search committee to find a new head of the 64-campus public university system, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Carl McCAll, SUNY board of trustees chairman, announced the committee on Tuesday following Zimpher's announcement earlier this year that she will leave her post on June 30, 2017, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
