Wappinger Man Charged With Possession Of Xanax, Fake ID, Marijuana Wax

WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- State police in Wappinger charged a LaGrange man with numerous charges after he was was found sleeping behind the wheel of his vehicle, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Oday M. Nesheiwat, 21, of LaGrange, wascharged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and other charges.

Oday M. Nesheiwat, 21, of LaGrange, with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, second-degree forgery, a class D felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor and driving while ability impaired by drugs, an misdemeanor, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

State police were called to check on a driver who was found sleeping behind the wheel of a 2005 Volvo stopped on Robinson Lane, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

Police said Nesheiwat was found to be impaired by drugs following a police investigation. Police said Nesheiwat also unlawfully possessed a large quantity of Xanax, a fake ID and marijuana wax, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.

Nesheiwat was arraigned in Town of Wappinger Justice Court and held at the Dutchess County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
