David M. Borrelli, 36, of Pleasant Valley, and Felicia S. Burnham, 30, Bay Shore in Suffolk County, are facing charges after an investigation following a report of suspicious people and a possible burglary during a school event, said Capt. John Watterson.

When deputies arrived, the two had already fled the area, but the investigation by the sheriff's detectives led to Borrelli and Burnham, both of whom were arrested on Friday, Jan. 5, Watterson said.

The stolen items – a Hovercam and contractor’s nail gun – have both been recovered, he added.

The two were each charged with one count of felony burglary and arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Court before being remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.

Borrelli is being held on $15,000 cash/$30,000 bond, and Burnham on $20,000 cash/$40,000 bond. Both are due to reappear before the Town of Wappinger Court on Jan. 10.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information should contact Detective Adam Harris or Detective Kate Capalbo at 845-486- 3820.
