Two Face Drug Charges After Traffic Stop In Fishkill

FISHKILL, N.Y. – Two Orange County men are facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Fishkill, state police said.

Dominick P. Dziewiecki,18, of Middletown, and John McGuire, 20, of Montgomery were stopped on Route 52 in the town on Friday, April 15, by a trooper from the Wappingers barracks.

Police said Dziewiecki was driving erratically when he was pulled over around 3:11 a.m.

He has been charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of Alprazolam, a controlled substance, a felony; and driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, police said.

McGuire was also charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of Alprazolam, and with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police said.

Both men were arraigned in the City of Beacon Court.

Dziewiecki was sent to Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

McGuire was also sent to the county jail on $5,000 cash or $5,000 bond.

They were to appear in the Town of Fishkill Court on Wednesday, April 20.
