According to court documents and statements made in court, Oregon resident John Koukouras and a second man from Connecticut - whose name was not disclosed - used a Guernsey Hill Road home in Lagrangeville to grow and distribute the drug.
John Durham, the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that Koukouras has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute marijuana.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the Dutchess County home and seized 140 marijuana plants and equipment used to grow, process and distribute marijuana. Koukouras was arrested in Oregon in September, and at the time of his arrest, he was in possession of an additional 50 marijuana plants, more equipment and paraphernalia.
Koukouras was released on $25,000 bond, pending sentencing, which has been scheduled for Feb. 7, when he will face up to five years in prison.
