Poughkeepsie Man Facing Charges After Domestic Dispute At Minimart

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man found himself behind bars after getting into a fight with his girlfriend at the Sunoco/Dunkin Donuts parking lot in Highland, according to the Town of Lloyd Police.

Daniel Givens, 29, was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 6, after police found he was in possession of a large amount of cocaine and heroin, during a search following the fight, said Lt. James S. Janso.

Givens was charged with two counts of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment, Janso said.

 He is being held at the Ulster County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 insurance bond.
