On Friday, New York State Police announced the arrest of Poughkeepsie resident Martin Dyckman, who has been charged with felony counts of first-degree fraud and grand larceny after accepting thousands of dollars for jobs he didn’t intend to complete.
According to state police, an investigation into Dyckman determined that he accepted more than $5,000 in down payments from multiple victims to install flooring in their homes, without ever purchasing any supplies or starting any work.
Dyckman was arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. He is due back in court later this year.
