POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man found himself behind bars following an investigation by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.
Elimu Freeman, 42, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and intent to distribute after the execution of search warrants on Friday at 130 Mansion St., and 47 Smith St., by the task force and the City of Poughkeepsie Police Emergency Services Unit, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force.
The search warrants were a result of an investigation into narcotics sales taking place at those locations, Tasciotti added.
