No Students Hurt In Wappingers Falls School Bus Accident

POUGHKEEPSIE, .N.Y. -- None of the Wappingers Falls students were injured when a pickup truck rear-ended their school bus at a stop sign shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, according to New Hamburg Fire District officials.

Five students from Wappingers Falls escaped injury Wednesday afternoon when their school bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck. The drivers of the bus and truck were taken to area hospitals for precautionary checkups.

The collision occurred near Main Street and Conklin Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Three students were transferred to another bus. Two students were picked up by parents. 

The school bus driver and driver of the pickup were taken to area hospitals for precautionary checkups, officials said.
