Michael T. Henry was arrested Monday, Dec. 3, after Town of Poughkeepsie Police officers responded to a domestic incident around 9:12 p.m. on Main Street, said Capt. Kevin Faber.

When officers arrived on the scene the victim reported that her ex-boyfriend, Henry, was at the residence attempting to kick down the door, Faber said.

Officers located Henry in the front of the residence, but as they approached him he began to run, with officers catching him a short distance away. During his apprehension, Henry allegedly struck one of the officers in the head and face, causing injuries, Faber added.

Henry was charged with felony assault, aggravated family offense, criminal contempt, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration.

He is being held without bail at the Dutchess County Jail.
