The investigation into a string of home burglaries over the course of nearly a week has led to the arrest of two men in Dutchess County.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of Milan resident Kyle Coon and Germantown resident Jon Holt this week, who are facing charges in relation to a string of burglaries in the area between Sept. 22 and Sept. 27 last month. The arrests came on Sept. 4 following the police investigation.

Coon, who was already in the Dutchess County Jail for a probation violation, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of stolen property. Holt, who was taken into custody in Germantown, was charged with two felony counts of burglary, as well as three counts of criminal possession of stolen property.

The burglary charges for Holt were based out of the Town of Milan, while the other charges are related to incidents in Poughkeepsie. Following their arrests, Holt was released following his arraignment in Milan. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court on Oct. 23 to be arraigned on charges there. Coon remains remanded to the Dutchess County Jail and is also scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 23.

Investigators noted that “a significant amount of alleged stolen property has been recovered.” Anyone with information regarding burglaries in the area or believe they may have been victimized has been asked to contact Det. Adam Harris by calling (845) 486-3852 or emailing AHarris@DutchessNY.gov.
