BEACON, N.Y. -- Sandra A. Gallagher, of Beacon, died on March 6. She was 64.
Born on Oct. 30, 1952 in Beacon, Gallagher was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie Osterhoudt. She was the former co-owner of Shampoo Unisex in Hopewell Junction. Gallagher then started a new career as a Freelance Writer. She had magazine and short stories published and she was also a member of the East Fishkill Women's Writer's Group.
Gallagher is survived by her husband Dennis, her son Mark Gallagher and daughter-in-law, Kristen Gallagher of Poughkeepsie, and her daughter Erin Daniels and son-in-law Timothy Daniels of Rhinebeck. Also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Liam, Paddy and Declan Gallagher and Luke, Owen and Keegan Daniels.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 13, from 5 - 9 p.m. at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. in Beacon. A funeral service will be held, Tuesday, March 14, at 10 a.m. at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon. Interment will follow at St. Joachim's Cemetery, 325 Washington Ave. Beacon.
