WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Patrick F. Joyce, a 20-year resident of Wappingers Falls, formerly of the Bronx and Yonkers, died Monday, Feb. 15. He was 92.
He was born March 16, 1923, in Galway, Ireland to Michael and Mary McGrath Joyce.
He married Mary Deane in 1952.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his daughters, Maureen and husband, Pete Kennedy, Betty and husband, John Lee, Ann Joyce, and Barbara and husband, Tom Boyle; his son, Dennis and wife, Tara Joyce; his 12 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; his brother, Joseph Joyce and wife, Mildred; and sister, Peggy Joyce of Galway, Ireland.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Gibson, Bridie Hackleton, Nora Geoghegan and Anne Lydon; and his brothers, John, Michael and Coleman Joyce.
Visitation is Thursday from 4 -8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main St., Wappingers Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton St., Wappingers Falls.
Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill.
