Lucille A. Dykeman, 97, Poughkeepsie Resident

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Lucille A. Dykeman, of Poughkeepsie, died on Sunday, March 13. She was 97.

Born in Poughkeepsie, Dykeman worked for the Hudson River Psychiatric Center as a dining room attendant. Prior to that, she owned The Diner in Stanfordville.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, the Miraculous Medal Society and for many years was a member of CSEA. She was a very devout Catholic.

Dykeman is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Costello of Lagrangeville; sister Lucy Davis of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren Thomas, Kevin and Monica; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Dykeman, and her parents, John and Mary Jane Hadden Davis.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., in Poughkeepsie. A mass will held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peter's Parish, 299 Hudson View Dr., in Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel.
