Frank Robert White Jr., 79, Of Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Frank Robert White Jr., of Poughkeepsie, died Wednesday, Nov. 23. He was 79.

He was born Sept. 21, 1937, in Poughkeepsie, the son of the late Frank Robert and the late Dorothy (Vetter) White Sr. 

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was employed by IBM Poughkeepsie as a security officer. He was a member of IBM Quarter Century Club, Queen City CBer's and the Horse Club. He was local resident all his life. He loved to play horseshoes, enjoyed making trailers and also enjoyed installing CBs and stereos in cars

He is survived by his wife,  Beverly May (Soules) White; daughters, Pamela Jean Porter and her husband Michael, Wendy Marie Bish and her husband Randall, Kelly Marie Murphy and her husband Vincent and Patricia Ellen Zimmermann and her longtime companion Michael Place; son, Steven Michael White and his wife Rochelle; 12 grandchildren, Behn, Bradley, Matthew, Ian, Allan, Jaclyn, Brittney, Sarah, Lindsey, Travis, Taylor and Noah; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Adalee, Lyam and Brandon; and siblings, Clara Marquardt and Robert.

Calling hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. during the calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
