Seen Her? Police Ask Public's Help In Dutchess ID Theft Probe

New York State Police in Dutchess County are asking for the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect involved in allegedly stealing another’s identity.

On April 27, state police troopers were dispatched to a Pleasant Valley residence, where a homeowner reported identity theft. According to police, during the subsequent investigation, it was determined that a woman attempted to make a fraudulent purchase of pre-paid money cards using the victim’s credit card.

The transaction occurred at the Dollar General in Hyde Park. The suspect was caught by surveillance video on the day of the transaction wearing all navy blue with black baseball cap.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity has been asked to contact Trooper Tatiana Wilson at New York State Police barracks in Poughkeepsie at (845) 677-7300, referring to case #7533020.
