POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Poughkeepsie Farm Project, a community-based agriculture cooperative, is reported that it has harvested a record amount of food this year, according to a report on TWC News.
The project offers educational programs, demonstrations and cooking workshops to children in the Poughkeepsie school district, according to its website.
It also distributes produce to local charities and sponsored families in need.
According to the TWC News report, it was able to gather and distribute 183,000 pounds of food, 32,000 pounds more than it did last year.
