Poughkeepsie Councilman's Sister Faces Assault Charges, Report Says

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The teenage sister of a city councilman faces assault charges in connection with an alleged knife attack during a dispute between the siblings, according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal.

The Journal said it fought for weeks to get details of the incident released by the police and city officials and was finally given a copy of the arrest report.

According to the Journal article, Councilman Randall Johnson II, 23, and his 17-year-old sister were arguing over a pair of sneakers in November when, the incident report stated, she cut him with a kitchen knife.
