FISHKILL, N.Y. -- The dismissal of a lawsuit filed by a Town of Fishkill police officer has been reversed by a federal appeals court, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Capt. Scott Bierce brought the suit believing his First Amendment rights were infringed upon. He contends that Fishkill Supervisor Bob LaColla sought revenge after Bierce publicly supported LaColla's Republican primary opponent Joan Pagones, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
