POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The City of Poughkeepsie closed the skate park at Waryas due to wear and tear on Wednesday.

The city warned residents that there should be no trespassing inside the skate park. There was no indication if, or when, the park would re-open.

Victor C. Waryas Park, The park, named for a former Poughkeepsie mayor Victor C. Waryas, is at the foot of Main Street is between the two bridges, Mid-Hudson for cars, and the Walkway Over the Hudson pedestrian bridge.
