Music lovers can wax nostalgic with records priced at 50 cents each. The store will also sell DVDs, CDs and audio books at $1 each.
More than 20,000 books line the store's shelves in a variety of categories.
The sale is part of a series of events to celebrate the Friends' 40th anniversary.
The Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District’s Book Store is at the Boardman Road Branch Library at 141 Boardman Road.
The store is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
