POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The "Greater Walkway Experience" aerial tour, a video, and campaign kick-off will begin Friday, May 6 at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie.
Walkway Executive Director Elizabeth Waldstein-Hart, Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison and Town of Lloyd Supervisor Paul Hansut will present the program.
The "Greater Walkway Experience" project connects 500,000 annual visitors to the natural, historical, cultural and hospitality resources found throughout the Hudson Valley.
The project highlights newly created "Discovery Zones" in Poughkeepsie and Highland, and provides a showcase of these resources and the region's beauty. The four-minute video will leave a "lasting impression," said a release.
Admission is free to the program during which volunteers and video producers will be available to talk to participants about the Discovery Zones.
Restaurants and businesses on Main Street will offer specials, specials, promotions, tours and samples, and there will be music and activities for kids.
The evening will begin at 5:15 p.m. at the Opera House, 35 Market St., Poughkeepsie.
