The annual award honors a chamber organization and its leadership team who make doing business in New York state a better experience for its members.

The chamber will be recognized at the Business Council’s annual meeting, which will be held Wednesday to Friday at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing.

Dutchess chamber President and CEO Frank Castella Jr. will accept the award on behalf of the staff and executive team.

“This is a very prestigious statewide honor, and we owe it all to the support of our executive board, board of directors, sponsors and membership, as well as the commitment, care and dedication of our professional staff,” Castella said.

To be considered for the award, chambers must display a positive social conscience and commitment to pro-business activities within the community and state, have an established reputation for delivering a high level of programs and services in the community and be active in state and local business advocacy.

The award recipient must also demonstrate fiscal responsibility for members and community, have leadership whose talent, vision, expertise, dedication and performance have defined them as outstanding chamber leaders and conduct business operations within New York state for 12 consecutive months prior to the date of being nominated.

The award winner must also be a member of the Business Council for at least one year before the nominations.

“We are humbled by this recognition,” Castella said. “We would like to thank the community, chamber members, sponsors and partners for the continued support of all we stand for and work hard to accomplish; we couldn’t do it without you.”
