DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Parts of New England could see up to two feet of snow from the storm that will impact the Hudson Valley.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Dutchess from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

Snow will overspread the area Sunday morning and will continue much of the day, evening and into Monday morning, before tapering off around 11 a.m. Monday in Dutchess, the National Weather Service.

Snowfall accumulations of 5 to 8 inches are expected, with higher amounts farther north in the county.

Snow will be heavy at times. Slick roads and poor visibility will result in hazardous travel conditions, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds will increase, becoming strong and gusty late Sunday night through Monday, causing blowing and drifting of snow.

Northern Westchester, Putnam and Rockland, where a Winter Storm Advisory has been issued from midnight Sunday to midnight Monday, could see 2 to 5 inches of accumulation of snow.
