Severe Storms Lead To Power Outages, Tornado Warning In Dutchess

A band of severe storms that swept through Dutchess early Wednesday evening led to heavy downpours, large hail and a Tornado Warning.

Nearly 3,000 county residents were left without power shortly after the storms arrived.

In addition to the Pawling area, the Tornado Warning also included southwestern Litchfield County in Connecticut. 

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Dutchess till 9 p.m. Wednesday.
