DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Dutchess is likely to see a wintry mix and the possibility of accumulating snow Tuesday before a midweek warmup arrives.
Tuesday will be a cloudy day with a high in the upper 30s, but the wind-chill factor making it feel more like it's between 20 and 30 degrees.
There is a slight chance of snow and sleet in the early afternoon, then a chance of rain, snow and sleet and a brief period of light snow in the late afternoon and early evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain, snow and sleet in the evening will become all rain after 1 a.m., with the temperature rising to around 41 by 3 a.m. Wednesday. No more than an inch of accumulation is expected.
Rain is likely Wednesday, mainly before 9 a.m. during a day that will start off mostly cloudy before gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 45.
Thursday's high should reach the 50-degree mark with a chance of rain starting in the afternoon.
