Two Route 9 Crashes Tie Up Morning Commute

Two car crashes have tied up traffic along Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson Wednesday making for stop-and-go traffic during the morning commute, according to the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Police Department.

The first accident around 7 a.m. blocked two lanes of traffic for at least 30 minutes while firefighters worked to clear the scene.  The driver, who received slight injuries, was treated at the scene by Croton-on-Hudson Emergency Medical Services, said Croton-on-Hudson fire officials. 

The second crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. and police and fire are currently working to clear the area, police said.
