Beginning on Monday, Aug. 28, lane and ramp closures are expected on both the north and southbound sides of I-684 between the Interstate’s terminus at Route 22 in Southeast and Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) in North Salem, while the crews perform the paving activities.

Single-lane closures are expected during daytime hours, with double lane closures planned overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. With the exception of holidays, work is expected to take place on weekdays and last several weeks, into November.

Scheduled ramp closures include:

The I-684 northbound ramp to Exit 9W (I-84W) and southbound ramp to Exit 9E (I-84E) is expected to be closed beginning at 10 p.m. on Tuesday Aug. 29 to 5 a.m. the following day.

Officials noted that during the paving work, there will be detours posted and flaggers in the area to help direct traffic. Motorists that can avoid the area have been asked to find alternate routes if possible.
