The latest closure, reported just before 4 p.m., occurred southbound between Route 172 (Exit 4) in Bedford and Route 22 (Exit 3) in Armonk with at least one injury reported as critical.

The stretch of I-684 remained closed for hours during an accident investigation.

Earlier in the day, there was closure on northbound I-684 between Route 172 and the Saw Mill Parkway (Exit 5) in Katonah.
