The race is held in honor of Roger Loughran of Red Hook who is battling the disease with his family and legion of helpers. His disease  -- AMC  --  is a form of muscular dystrophy that causes curved or hooked joints, limited range of motion and multiple joint contractures throughout the body.

The four races include:

  • 1 mile run 8:45 a.m.
  • 5k Run 9:15 a.m.
  • 5K walk 9:30 a.m.
  • Kid's Dash 10:30 a.m.

To help make sure the race goes smoothly, the Red Hook Police Department is reminding motorist that it will be busy in the area of Benner and Rokeby Roads and to be mindful of participants
