Learn Archery In Dutchess County Weekend Sessions

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- The Dutchess County Parks Department is offering archery lessons for children and adults with any level of experience.

The next lesson will take place Saturday, Oct. 24, in the auditorium located at Bowdoin Park, 85 Sheafe Road, Wappingers Falls. 

The first session will be a review of basic archery safety and skills for those who may not have attended in the past. The majority of the time will be spent practicing with the bows and learning through experience. The program consists of five classes. Each class lasts an hour. All equipment is provided. 

Children must be 8 or older to participate. Sign-up is required. For more info or to sign up, call 845-298-4602.

Session dates are Saturdays, Oct. 24, Dec. 5 and Dec. 19. Time slots available are: 10-11 a.m.; 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; 2-3 p.m.; and 3:30-4:30 p.m. Cost is $40 per person (fee includes five classes).
