POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Poughkeepsie school district was shorted $80 million over the last five years by the state, a lawsuit finding discovered, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
The $80 million shortfall matches the amount of money the district received in the five-year span, the Journal reported.
The difference between promised state money and what certain districts have received totaled $1.1 billion, the finding discovered, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal.
