Poughkeepsie Mourns Passing Of Planning Board Member

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Poughkeepsie officials are mourning the death of longtime Planning Board member Naomi S. Goldberg. 

The city of Poughkeepsie is mourning the death of Naomi S. Goldberg, a longtime Planning Board member.

“Naomi was passionate about her city and devoted to her role on the Planning Board," said Mayor Rob Rolison. "She believed in Poughkeepsie and faithfully served it, knowing that she could make a difference. I would like to express my sincerest sympathy to her family at this difficult time."

Goldberg was also a former member of the Poughkeepsie Zoning Board of Appeals and owned the House of Cards on Main Street for 50 years until retiring in 2007. 

Memorial services will be held at Vassar Temple on 140 Hooker Ave. on Sunday at 10 a.m.
