Casale Re-Elected Mayor Of Beacon

BEACON, N.Y. -- Mayor Randy Casale was re-elected to a second term Tuesday, defeating Ronald Ray.

Casale, a Republican, defeated Ray, a Democrat, 1,805 votes to 794 votes, 69.24 percent to 30.46 percent.

In Ward 1 incumbent Democrat Peggy Ross defeated Republican challenger Diane Spiak-Pisanelli 416 votes to 273 votes.

In Ward 2 Democrat Omar Harper knocked off Charles Kelly, 360 votes to 195 vote . Harper defeated Kelly in a September primary for the Democrat line.

In Ward 3  incumbent Democrat Pamela Wetherbee defeated Republican challenger William Irizarry 353 votes  to 192 votes.

In Ward 4 incumbent Democrat Ali Muhammed defeated Samantha Tseng of the Beacon Works party 540 votes to 140 votes.

Democratic incumbents Lee Kyriacou and George Mansfield were re-elected to two at large seats on the city council with 1,845 votes and 1,337 votes, respectively.  Republican challenger Chris Olson trailed with 1,048 votes.
