On Tuesday, a man walking through the woods near the Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham, Mass., found bones on the ground, according to multiple reports. On Friday, law enforcement officials announced that the victim was wearing a Marist sweatshirt.
Although she was wearing the sweatshirt, it is unclear if it means the body has any connection to Dutchess County or the Hudson Valley.
According to the Boston Globe, the woman was an approximately 5-feet 6-inches tall African American female, who was in her late teens or early 20. She had a charm bracelet with the word “peace.” No cause of death has been released, and investigators believe that she may have been dead for several months.
There have been no reports of any missing Marist College students.
