FISHKILL, N. Y. -- A 43-year-old Brooklyn woman is facing criminal drug charges after New York State Police say she entered the Fishkill Correctional Facility with prescription drugs, police said.
Rachel J. Sime was arrested Saturday, March 19, and charged with felony first-degree promoting prison contraband along with misdemeanor seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, police said.
She's being held on $2,500 cash bail, or $5,000 bond, in the Dutchess County Jail, police said, in anticipation of a 10 a.m. March 23 court date in the Town of Fishkill Court.
State police, assisted by the state corrections department and the K-9 unit, said she was carrying "numerous" prescription pills when she went to the jail to visit an inmate.
