A man pulled over for using an electronic device while driving in Wappingers Falls is facing drug charges after being busted by state police with alleged psychedelic mushrooms during the stop.
Shortly after 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25, troopers stopped Wappingers Falls resident Tim Fogliano on East Main Street, when he was spotted using the device.
During the stop, police said that it was determined Fogliano was allegedly driving with a suspended driver’s license, and he was in possession of the psilocybin psychedelic mushrooms, and he was subsequently arrested.
Fogliano was charged with a felony count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Following arraignment, Fogliano was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. He is due to appear in the Village of Wappingers Falls Court on Thursday morning to answer the charges.
