DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A Wappingers Falls woman is facing felony charges for allegedly attacking a woman and stealing her purse in front of a child.

State Police announced Tuesday that Sonia Santiago, 56, was arrested by troopers on felony robbery charges for her role in an incident that took place at Fishkill Plaza over the weekend.

According to police, shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, troopers were dispatched to the parking lot at the plaza on Route 9 for reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, police determined that Santiago attacked a woman and stole her purse in front of her child.
