POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department announced Friday the arrest Thursday of a 27-year-old suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on Main Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie on March 3.

At that time, a male subject wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, a mask, and armed with a handgun entered the establishment and stole an undetermined amount of money before fleeing the scene.

Town of Poughkeepsie Police Detective observed a subject walking in the area that matched the description of the suspect on Thursday, April 27.

The subject, later identified as Bryan J. Hicks, was interviewed at Police headquarters and subsequently charged with robbery in the second degree. As a result of the investigation, the gun used in the commission of the crime was recovered.

Hicks was arraigned and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of bail set at $100,000.
