WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- New York State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a woman wanted on a warrant for possession of drugs and for entering the Downstate Correctional Facility with a hypodermic needle, according to New York State Police.
Amanda Murphy, 27, was arrested in early May 2015 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and again in July 2015 for entering the jail with a hypodermic needle with heroin residue inside, said state police.
Following her arrest she was scheduled to appear in court in Village of Fishkill and the Town of Fishkill in early 2016. She failed to show up for either hearing, state police said.
Murphy is described as 5-feet-4-inches, 132 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
