POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y. -- A 41-year-old town of Poughkeepsie man is being held on a felony drug charge following a raid by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force recovered drugs and guns, and more charges may be coming, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Ahmed M. Elkhatib is being held in the Dutchess County Jail on a charge of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said they found 2.5 grams of crack cocaine, 150 envelopes of heroin, a 9mm handgun and an assault rifle during a raid Wednesday of a home on Johns Boulevard, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.
Police said Friday that more charges are pending. He's due back in court Monday, the Poughkeepsie Journal says.
