Edward Grant, 57, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 19, following a search of North Clinton Street home by the task force along with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Emergency Services Unit, said Frank Tasciotti, a spokesman with the task force.

The search warrant was a result of an investigation into narcotics sales taking place at and around that location, he said.

During the search of the residence, a quantity of crack cocaine, cash, scales, and packaging materials was seized.

Grant was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

He is being held without bail at the Dutchess County Jail. Additional charges may be pending.
