DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - New York State Police in Poughkeepsie are looking for the community’s assistance as they search for a wanted man accused of driving with a blood alcohol level nearly triple the legal limit while he had a juvenile passenger who was also under the influence of alcohol.
State police are looking for Poughkeepsie resident Joseph Crapanzano, who has a warrant out for his arrest for endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated driving while intoxicated stemming from a November 2015 arrest.
According to police, Crapanzano was arrested for operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .20 percent, more than double the legal limit. Police said that he also had a juvenile passenger in the car with him who was also under the influence of alcohol.
In October 2016, a warrant was issued by the Town of Poughkeepsie Court for failure to appear for court proceedings. Anyone with information on Crapanzano can contact the state police at (845) 677-7300 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Police caution that callers should not take any police action themselves and should leave it to trained officers.
