Police: Wappinger Woman Menaces Neighbor With Knife In Satellite Dish Fight

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A 47-year-old knife-wielding Dutchess County woman was busted by state police after troopers said an alleged argument over a satellite dish turned physical.

The troopers were dispatched to White Gate Drive in Wappinger on Wednesday following reports of a neighbor dispute involving a knife.

Upon arrival, the police investigation determined that Wappinger resident Jean Daniela used a knife to menace a neighbor over the placement of a satellite dish in the area. She was arrested and charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, and harassment, a violation.


Daniela was arraigned in the Town of Wappinger Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. She is due back in court on Oct. 11 to answer the charges.
