Police Seek Public's Help In Fishkill Dollar Tree Robbery Investigation

FISHKILL, N.Y. -- New York State police are encouraging the public to help identify the person responsible for the armed robbery of the Dollar Tree on Thursday, Dec. 29 in the Village of Fishkill.

The robbery took place around 9 p.m. when an unidentified male entered the store, located in the Shop-Rite Plaza at 738 Route 9, brandishing a weapon and demanding money, state police said. 

Investigator David Barnard said the suspect has not been caught and there was no surveillance video.

"At this point, the case is ongoing," he said.

The man got away with an undetermined amount of cash, two cell phones and fled the store in an unknown direction, said state police.

The gunman is described as being a white male, 5-foot-9, with short white hair, weighing between 180-200 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue or dark colored pants, a navy blue pullover shirt and a black or blue jacket.
